Attomarker, a spin-out company from the University of Exeter, has launched its new COVID-19 seven-minute Triple Antibody test to the general public at Holmedale Health in the city. The test, which is unique in the market, will tell patients whether they have antibodies against the virus either from a previous infection or from the vaccine.

Local NHS chief urges people to get vital second jab

As the largest ever NHS vaccination programme enters its last lap Devon’s Primary Care Medical Director Alex Degan has encouraged local residents to come forward for their first jab and remember to get their second vital and lifesaving dose.

The plea comes as people aged 40 and over are now able to book in their second jab on the national booking system from eight weeks after their first dose.

Exeter doctor to launch diabetes education programme in Denmark

A diabetes expert at the University of Exeter has been awarded a fellowship at the Danish Diabetes Academy to develop an education programme to help people with Type 1 diabetes to exercise safely.

The programme will also help to grow important research into Type 1 diabetes and exercise in Denmark.
