Family fun at Motability's One Big Day event

Disabled motorists and their families can explore all their mobility options with ease, by heading to the free Motability One Big Day event at Westpoint, Exeter in Devon on Saturday (26 July).

The One Big Day event will showcase the wide range of cars, scooters and powered wheelchairs available to lease on the Motability Scheme, as well as a whole host of fun family activities throughout the day such as meeting Billy the Bear and the chance to win an iPad mini.

Hosted by Motability, the leading car scheme for disabled people, the One Big Day event at Westpoint, Exeter, will have more than 50 cars on display from 13 manufacturers including Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs), and a wide range of adaptations, scooters and powered wheelchairs.

Motability advisors and specialists from WAV and adaptations companies will be on hand to offer guidance and advice. Visitors will also be able to book in for free test drives in a range of both standard and adapted cars.

In addition to this, visitors can enjoy a free cup of tea, coffee or a soft drink. Family entertainment including free face painting, balloon modelling and appearances from Motability mascot ‘Billy the Bear’ will ensure the whole family has a great day out. Parking is free and scooters and wheelchairs are available for hire.

Luke Snowden, One Big Day event manager, said: “This is the first year that we have held one of our One Big Day events at Westpoint in Exeter, we are incredibly excited and are looking forward to bringing our successful events to this new venue. Our aim is to provide disabled motorists with a chance to explore all their motoring options in one accessible location whilst having a fun day out too.”

The One Big Day event at Westpoint, Exeter in Devon is taking place on Saturday 26 July 2014 between 9am and 4pm.
