2013 was pretty good. But 2014 is set to be the vintage of the decade for Devon's growing band of winemakers. " This year everything has gone right from start to finish. " Yearlstone has already picked the early ripening muscat variety Siegerrebe and the aromotic Madeleine Angevine. " Both were at very high levels of ripeness, but with good acidity too, " says Roger....

This year, the winemakers, based at Clyst St Mary are all set for another bumper harvest following the great weather this summer.

Pebblebed owner, Geoff Bowen, said: "Last year, we harvested a huge 45 tonnes of grapes, producing nearly 40,000 bottles, and this year we are hoping for a similar yield. So we need some help to gather in the grapes.
