Hunters Ales have brewed a special fiery beer for Powderham Food Festival.

Fire King, an amber beer, lightly hopped to allow the hot chilli flavours to zing out, complements the chargrilled flavours of barbecue food.

The bottles have been specially brewed by Hunters and will raise money for The C Group Royal Marines charity. A donation from each bottle sold will go to their fund, inspiring business to support marines in need.

Devon vineyard Pebblebed, has been judged top sparkling wine in the South West winning a prestigious gold medal in the South West Vineyards Wine Awards 2014.

The increasingly popular Pinot Noir, red wine was also recognised with a bronze award.

The wine is produced at the Clyst St George winery just outside Exeter.

Gidleigh Park is delighted to have retained its two Michelin stars following the release of the Michelin Guide 2015. The grape harvest is now underway at Devon's largest vineyard, Pebblebed.

This year, the winemakers, based at Clyst St Mary are all set for another bumper harvest following the great weather this summer.

Pebblebed owner, Geoff Bowen, said: "Last year, we harvested a huge 45 tonnes of grapes, producing nearly 40,000 bottles, and this year we are hoping for a similar yield. So we need some help to gather in the grapes.
