The shortlist for the Food Reader Awards 2015 has been announced and Exeter is harbouring a wealth of foodie finalists.

Darts Farm, Boston Tea Party, Chandos Deli and Michael Caines have all been nominated and voted for by Food Magazine readers in their hundreds, and luckily there’ll be no neighbourly competition as all of Exeter’s finalists will be representing the city in different categories.

Exeter’s own Michael Caines will be up against stiff competition from other popular South West chefs including Mitch Tonks and Nathan Outlaw in the Local Food Hero category.

Boston Tea Party is once again up for Best Cafe, Chandos Deli shops across the region are competing for the Best Independent Retailer award and Darts Farm is rooting for Best Farm Shop.

Winners will be announced on 26th January at a spectacular awards ceremony hosted by sponsors Yeo Valley at their HQ in Blagdon near Bristol. Last year’s awards saw Gandy Street’s latest retailer, Choccie Bar, pick up the prize for Best Foodie Product, fingers crossed this year Exeter will once again be rewarded for its fantastic foodie delights.
