Food Drink Devon has announced it will be hosting its first food and drink industry summer party on Monday 17th June at Dartington Hall (6.30pm – 9.30pm).  With fabulous local food, drink, entertainment, demonstrations and the chance to network and socialise with like-minded colleagues, tickets are already selling fast amongst members and non-members.

Tickets cost £20 per person for members and £30 per person for non-members and can be purchased from Eventbrite by following this link.

Barbara King, chair of Food Drink Devon, says: “Our awards’ evening in the autumn is always a great social occasion and we’re often asked to host other events during the year.  Devon is a hotbed of foodie talent and our local entrepreneurs really appreciate the chance to make new contacts and debate industry issues, plus they certainly know how to celebrate the county’s successes too.  So, due to popular demand, we are holding our first summer party on 17th June.”

The event is taking place in the stunning private gardens of Dartington Hall, a magnificent historic country estate just outside Totnes.  During the evening, attendees will enjoy live music and informative and entertaining demonstrations from award-winning wine expert Susy Atkins, the region’s leading wine educators South West Wine School, Cosmo Caddy from Devon Distillery, Eversfield Organic and chef, Chris Sherville.

Welcome drinks and a superb three-course barbecue and buffet of local produce will also be enjoyed throughout the evening provided by Food Drink Devon members including: Salcombe Gin, Hunts Cider, Salcombe Brewery, Luscombe, Devon Distillery, Surf 'N' Turf Kitchen, Burts Chips, Rod and Bens, Bell and Loxton, Clive’s Pies, Dartington Dairy, M C Kelly, WestCountry, Column Bakehouse, South Devon Chilli Farm, Otter Vale Products, Ebb Tides, Granny Gothards, Salcombe Dairy, Truly Treats, The Shops at Dartington, Sharpham Cheese, Owens Coffee and Bristows of Devon.

Barbara continues: “We’ve already seen a huge response through ticket sales and it seems likely that this event, just like our awards’ ceremony, will become a regular sell-out fixture in the food and drink industry calendar.”

With over 250 Devon-based members including cookery schools, hospitality and catering businesses, speciality retailers, farmers’ markets and producers, Food Drink Devon is the county’s only dedicated membership organisation supporting quality, sustainability and provenance in the sector.
