On Saturday 12 October from 11am, there will be a large gathering of 'babywearers' at the Cathedral Green, ie mums and dads who choose to wear their babies and toddlers in slings or ergonomic baby carriers, rather than use a buggy. New children's show featuring Henry 'The Fonz' Winkler coming to CBBC

One local family has tracked down the full set of Great Gorillas – entirely by bus.

Lucy Sambell, from Exeter, her 13-year-old son Zachary and their two chocolate Labradors, father and son Murphy and Dooley, took two days to complete the free public art marathon.

The Great Gorillas Project is celebrating the 90th birthday of Paignton Zoo with 30 life-size model gorillas, sponsored by businesses and painted in original designs by specially-commissioned artists, placed around the streets and public spaces of Exeter and the English Riviera.

Last chance to enjoy paddling pools before work begins on new splash park

People have a few more days left to enjoy Exeter's paddling pools before they close down for the year.

With what has been one of the best summers in recent years, thousands of youngsters - along with mums, dads and grandparents - have been enjoying a cooling paddle in St Thomas and Heavitree.

St Thomas Paddling Pool stays open until Sunday (8 September) evening. After then, work will begin on a new splash park on 9 September, in time for it to be open next Summer.
