A day or weekend of foraging and learning Bushcraft skills on the river.

A Touch of the Wild will be joining the team at Winding River Canoe for some epic paddling on the beautiful River Dart, stopping enroute to forage for shellfish and other wild foods to cook up at lunchtime over the campfire.

There will be opportunities to learn some key bushcraft skills, including how to light a fire without matches, and have a go at some natural crafts and cordage.

Half-term fun at Castle Drogo

There’s lot’s going on at Castle Drogo this half-term – from following a nature trail to building a home for nature.

“Castle Drogo and the surrounding 700 acre estate is the perfect place to explore, get muddy, jump in a puddle and build a den,” says Visitor Services Assistant, April Braund.

29% of people in Exeter who are in a relationship will spend nothing on their other halves this Valentine’s Day, according to new research commissioned by shopping and price comparison website Give as you Live.

Exeter is less romantic than the rest of the country, as a quarter of Brits will spend nothing this Valentine’s Day. Chancellor George Osborne has (8 February 2015) announced the government will extend the availability of its hugely popular 65 plus pensioner bonds.

Highlighting latest sales figures which show it has seen the biggest sale of any retail financial product in Britain’s modern history, the Chancellor confirmed that the pensioner bonds will now be on sale for 4 months, until 15 May 2015, so that everyone who wants to invest can do so.
