Visit The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth during the Easter holidays to take part in Donkey Grooming and a spectacular Easter Holiday Hunt.

The Sanctuary’s Easter activities will be taking place between Friday 27 March and Sunday 12 April and are sure to be a hit with children of all ages. Killerton recruits Easter Eggsplorers

Every day from 28 March to 12 April, Killerton near Exeter are hosting their annual National Trust Cadbury Easter Egg Trail.

Little tots to big kids are invited to unleash their inner Eggsplorer at Killerton, crack the clues and earn their Cadbury chocolate Egghead prize.

Chocolate rugby ball Easter egg hunt

A special Easter egg hunt inspired by Rugby World Cup 2015 kicks off along the Exe Estuary Trail this spring.

The Exe Egg Chase will run during the Easter holidays, starting on Saturday March 28 and running through to Sunday April 12.

People taking part have to find small, Rugby-ball shaped chocolate eggs which are hidden at a number of businesses along the estuary trail route including, Saddles & Paddles, Toby Buckland Plant Centre, Stuart Line Cruises, Darts Farm, the Salutation Inn and Double Locks.

Princesshay to host Easter Garden Party

Princesshay and Radio Exe invite shoppers and visitors to join them for a fun filled Easter inspired day out on Thursday 2nd April from 11am-2pm in Princesshay Square.

Families can take part in an egg and spoon race and try their hand at outdoor game favourites including giant jenga and noughts and crosses.

Country park to get new play area

Children and families will soon have even more to enjoy when visiting the Grand Western Canal Country Park, with plans underway to create a play area in the Canal Basin in Tiverton.

The new facilities will be located on the little-used grassy area at the very end of the towpath where it meets Canal Hill.

With the increase in rental prices and fewer jobs available to young people, more children are relying financially on their parents than ever before.

Take a look behind the scenes at The Donkey Sanctuary as the Sidmouth sanctuary throws open its doors to the public for a whole week of donkey-related activities and exclusive access to farms that aren’t usually open to visitors.

The week runs from 5-12 May 2015 at Slade House Farm.
