The Gin to My Tonic Festival comes to Exeter Corn Exchange

The Gin To My Tonic are delighted to be bringing their festival to the Exeter Corn Exchange this Summer on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th August.

The Gin To My Tonic is a brand based in Faringdon, Oxford that holds gin festivals across the country. 

Co-Founder Emira Shepherd said “We are delighted to be able to hold a Gin Festival for the people of Exeter and beyond. We are also delighted to showcase various gin brands that will be in attendance and showcasing their products.”

The Donkey Sanctuary stars on CBBC show

Staff at the state-of-the-art veterinary hospital at the international animal welfare charity The Donkey Sanctuary will feature on the CBBC show ‘The Pets Factor’ this Friday 19 July. The show will be aired at 9.05am and repeated later in the day at 4.35pm.

James Greenwood, one of the show’s professional vets visited The Donkey Sanctuary in Devon earlier this year, where he rolled up his sleeves and donned his surgical gown and assisted veterinary staff in performing castrate operations on three colts named Ben, Moshi and Casey.

This summer The Murder Trial Live is set to sweep the nation.

While offering those who are lucky enough to secure tickets to partake in a national social experiment, its aim is to test the robustness of the UK’s judicial system. In a world first experiment, a live murder trial will take place over the course of the evening and you, as an attendee, will decide the outcome. On trial is Mr Frank Lane who is accused of murdering his wife Alison Lane on 25th March 2017, however, no body has been found.

Let our Train Conductor (Derekk Ross) carry you away with Network Tales inspired by brief glimpses into the lives of his passengers. As the Conductor attempts to reconnect with his estranged daughter Amy (Hetty Elliot), the stories begin to take on a life of their own in this heart-warming comedy about fathers and daughters.

The inaugural Exeter Fringe Festival will be brought to a dynamic conclusion by an act described recently by BBC Radio 2 as “Two of the most extraordinary musicians, a phenomenal duo”.

On 4th August, East Devon born India Electric Company will headline at the 19th century built Barnfield Theatre bringing to end a diverse and exciting festival that will encompass over 100 performances across the city.

The work of a local tapestry artist has been selected for a prestigious international exhibition in London and Nottingham.

Tapestry weaver Christine Sawyer from Exeter has had ‘Split Detail’ selected for Heallreaf 2019 where there are 40 exhibitors from all over the world. The exhibition runs from September 7 to 21 at Surface Gallery, Nottingham and then from October 15 to 26 at Espacio Gallery, London.

The Donkey Sanctuary’s 50th anniversary celebrations continues as its multi-award-winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden has been re-built back at the charity’s international headquarters in Sidmouth, Devon. The garden will open to visitors from Monday 15 July and like the Sanctuary, will be free of charge for people to visit.

In July 2019, the inaugural Exeter Fringe Festival will take place with over 100 performances at Exeter Phoenix and Barnfield Theatre across 10 days from 26 July to 4 August. There are 6 performance spaces featuring a wide range of fringe theatre, family theatre, comedy, music and dance. The inaugural Exeter Fringe Festival has been organised by Elaine Faulkner and Alex Jackson.
