Looking for the perfect way to round off the summer holidays? Head to Pawesome Day Out, a lively, family-friendly charity event on Sunday 31st August from 12pm at St Martin’s Football Club, Exminster—where fun, food, and four-legged friends take centre stage!

Organised by Claudia Pinn of Claudia’s Canines and the UK–Sri Lanka-based charity Lucas Helps Dogs, this event aims to raise vital funds for street animals in Sri Lanka. Buckfast Abbey hosts ‘Shadowlands’ marking 50 years since CS Lewis’s death

CS Lewis is remembered this year in Shadowlands, a new production by the Unleashed Theatre Company, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his death.

Meet an archaeologist at A la Ronde

The National Trust's Collections and Engagement Archaeologist, Nancy Grace, will be at A la Ronde on Thursday 1 August between 11 am and 4pm.

Bring your discoveries for identification and see if you can stump the archaeologist. Learn how to use a sorting tray when on digs, have a go at recording your objects, find out how to draw recreations of whole objects from fragments; and get nose to nose with articles from the past 40,000 years.

Have a go at athletics with SW Athletics' Sprint Track at Exeter Princesshay

South West Athletics Academy will be at Princesshay shopping centre on Monday 29 July to promote athletics and activities in the holidays and other available activities.

The 30m sprint track will have a speed gate so anyone can come and test their speed over 20m on the track or just have a go at a range of athletics events.

There are other holiday programmes also available from sprinting and high jump to have a go pole vault available through the summer holidays.

Expect the unexpected this September as The Unexpected Festival comes to Exeter.

The Unexpected Festival will take place from 15-22 September and will include activities such as art making, music acts and other contemporary performances. It really all is in the name, the festival will not take place in one conventional location, but instead, across several locations in Exeter.
