Billie Bottle’s Temple of Shibboleth are delighted to announce that they are bringing their Mending Tour to Exeter Phoenix on Sun 4th June.

The tour is promoting the release of their eponymous debut album, produced by George Shilling (Blur/Primal Scream/Bjork). The night will also feature folktronica duo, Solarference.

Exeter theatre to host the premiere of a new UK musical

This June, the Exeter Barnfield Theatre will play host to the world stage premiere of new UK musical, “Little Ships”, written and composed by Danny McAvoy.

Little Ships celebrates history and adventure, and is about growing up, facing challenges, and taking risks, family love and fidelity.

Set in 1940, Little Ships is about a West Country family at the start of World War II. The father who was brought up in England, is of mixed Irish and French parentage and joins the French army, where he is part of the 1st Army that for a short time holds Lille enabling the British army...

Flavours of Us food and culture event in Exeter

The Encompass group, composed of Devon’s Caribbean, Hindu and Polish communities and supported by Exeter Northcott Theatre, has announced Flavours of Us , a family friendly food and culture event taking place at the city centre Barnfield Theatre on 27 May.

On the day, visitors can join one of two guided experiences offering a rich and vibrant exploration of Caribbean, Hindu, and Polish food cultures, including:

Budleigh Salterton will soon play host to acclaimed musicians as part of this year’s Budleigh Music Festival, as tickets go on sale this week.

Spotlight to Shine Bright on Crafts & Gardens at Devon County Show 2023

The spotlight will shine brightly and musically on the Crafts & Gardens Marquee this year at Devon County Show. An installation, featuring a grand piano bedecked with flowers and in a woodland setting, is to be masterminded by Plantsmen, Horticulturalist, Florist and Show Garden designer, Kenny Raybould.

The installation will measure 5 x 5m and will be one of the centre pieces of the huge marquee - the largest on the showground.

The official Oktoberfest Exeter will be hosted at Exeter Castle on Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st of October 2023.

Blues icon Walter Trout will be coming back to the UK in May for an eleven-date tour, beginning at the Phoenix Arts Centre in Exeter on 9th May and will call through Birmingham, Holmfirth, Sunderland, Glasgow, Liverpool, Cambridge, Ilkley, Gateshead, Manchester and will finish at the Islington Assembly Hall in London on 21st May.
