Celebrating 100 Years of Morecambe and Wise: Eric and Ern Comes to Exeter

Eric and Ern, the new show from Ian Ashpitel and Jonty Stephens - the Olivier nominated duo behind the hugely celebrated and critically acclaimed West End hit Eric & Little Ern - will be coming to Exeter Northcott Theatre from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 December, as the culmination of an extensive Autumn/Winter UK tour.

The show’s 2026 national tour is a mark of celebration for the 100th birthdays of Eric Morecambe (born 14 May 1926) and Ernie Wise (born 17 November 1925) and their legendary comedy partnership.

The Right Now Film Festival is coming to the Exeter Phoenix.

The festival puts a spotlight on documentaries which focus on the global power structure and inequalities from all over the globe.

Former gangland enforcer, tireless activist and lifelong biker Sam Childers, the ‘Machine Gun Preacher’, is heading to Exeter’s Rediscover Church.

The church will host a special talk with Childers, whose story of redemption has continued to enthral people around the globe.

A new show is touring venues in Devon and Dorset to celebrate International Women’s Day 2018, after an appeal for women to join the choir led to 63 arriving for rehearsals!

‘Aint’ I A Woman’ is the third ‘Her Story’ show organised and written by Devon-based arts charity, Wren Music, and featuring women from across the South West. For some of the 63, this will be their first experience of singing on a stage.

World renowned violinist, Sophie Rosa, will perform at Exeter Cathedral together with The Exeter Symphony Orchestra and Exeter Philharmonic Choir to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

Titled Semper Fidelis, the June concert will commemorate the courage and sacrifice of those who gave their lives, including the 2nd Battalion Devonshire Regiment, who fought one of the fiercest battles of the First World War.
