The UK’s festival scene is larger than ever before, with major festivals like Glastonbury, Latitude, and Reading and Leeds, as well as smaller festivals like BST Hyde Park and Boardmasters coming up behind them. However, just because your favourite artist always seems to be attending a festival or two, that’s not to say that the UK’s festivals aren’t seeing challenges and complications relating the way that they’ve always been run. GWR boost for Lapstock

Train operating company Great Western Railway (GWR) has come to the rescue of Lapstock, the annual mid-Devon music festival by agreeing to stop trains at Lapford station for the duration of the highly popular event.

The agreement is a boost for festival organisers as access to Lapstock would have otherwise been restricted for those in the North of the county due to a prolonged closure of the A377 at Eggesford.
