Iolanthe

Oktoberfest

The ever popular Oktoberfest returns to Exeter.  Trying to bring a flavour of the world renowned German beer festival the organisers are planning a Bavarian marquee with a local twist, where you will have six hours to drink some delicious German beers out of steins.  Doors open at 5pm on both days. There will also be wines, Prosecco, spirits, soft drinks and plenty of German foods.

WOW Women of the World Festival

In 2018, the year that marked the 100th anniversary since some women got the vote in the UK, and when #MeToo shook the world, we have brought together artists, writers, politicians, comedians, activists and more for the 2nd annual WOW Exeter at RAMM, Exeter Phoenix and Exeter Library. WOW is a celebration of the achievements of women and girls and looks at the obstacles that stop them from reaching their full potential. Killerton Apple Festival
Saturday & Sunday, Killerton Estate, Broadclyst
Over 700 people have helped continue the tradition of hand-picking apples from the orchard at the National Trust’s Killerton estate, in time to be pressed at Killerton’s Apple Festival this weekend.  A wonderful family favourite, this year the festival will feature children’s activities, magic and juggling, willow weaving, family trails and live music. Visitors can bring their own apples to press into juice, witness the 200 year old cider press in action, try archery, browse the stalls in the orchard and taste great food from the Killerton estate. Exeter Choral Society - Live and Vocal! Free public exhibition 
Saturday, St Stephen’s Church, High Street, Exeter
Exeter Choral Society (formerly Whipton Choral Society) was founded in 1943, when Exeter was a garrison town. Now celebrating our 75th year, we are curating an exhibition of the life and times of the choir. Find out about the lives of early choir members, the fun and drama of choir life, what we do today and our plans for the future. 10am-4pm.  All ages are welcome; there will be a quiz and activity sheet for children.

Coffee Morning
The Blackmore Theatre, Bicton Street, Exmouth
The Exmouth Players (CIO) are holding their monthly coffee morning at The Blackmore Theatre.
Come and join The Exmouth Players for tea, coffee and some very lovely home-made cakes.
There is a raffle and there are books, cards, DVD’s and much more on sale. 10am-noon.
