Les Miserables

Jerusalem on Tour

On the morning of the local country fair, Johnny 'Rooster' Byron, the local waster and modern-day Pied Piper, is a wanted man. The council officials want to serve him an evictin notice, his son wants to be taken to the fair, a father wants to give him a serious kicking, and a motley crew of mates wants his ample supply of drugs and alcohol. Stars From Strictly

The BBC TV show Strictly Come Dancing continues to go from strength to strength and this spectacular new live theatre show featuring two stars from the hit show, Pasha Kovalev & Katya Virshilas, is set to reach new heights. This lavish production will feature them along with their four guest dancers, beautifully costumed, demonstrating a series of stunning dance routines, accompanied by a full audio-visual backdrop and light show, plus an enjoyable Q & A section and an appearance by a local dance school. Under My Umbrella

Razzamataz Theatre Schools Exeter present their version of the smash hit musical “Singing in the Rain!” When silent movie stars Don and Lina are faced with the prospects of the new all-singing, all-dancing “talkies” how will they cope? The Bon Jovi Experience

Cate Le Bon

Cate Le Bon is a singer-songwriter originally from Cardiff who sings in both Welsh and English. Unforgettable

Verdi’s Requiem Mass

North Devon Sinfonia, teams up with West Buckland School Choir and the West Buckland Chorus to perform Verdi’s Requiem Mass. Panic Brothers

Blooming Great Tea Party

The Exeter branch of RGB Building Supplies will be hosting a Blooming Great Tea Party in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Taking place between 7.30am and 5pm, those visiting the branch will be able to purchase cakes, tea and coffee throughout the day with all proceeds going to the charity.  For the early starters, there will be a breakfast option being served until 10am. For a small donation, customers can also have their car and van windscreens washed, and there will be opportunities to win prizes to boost the fundraising total.

East Devon Jobs and Apprenticeship Fair

Neil Parish MP for Tiverton and Honiton is holding the East Devon Jobs and Apprenticeship Fair on Friday 27 June between 10am and 4pm. A number of local and national employers are attending to offer you careers advice and support.

Lots of stalls selling excellent quality nearly new baby and childrens items from birth to eight years. There will also be a small selection of unique businesses in the baby and children's industry showcasing and selling their products and services all under one roof, 2pm-4pm.

Gardens open for Devon Air Ambulance
Saturday & Sunday, Lapford
Lapford & District Horticultural Society open their gardens on the 28 and 29 of June in aid of Devon Air Ambulance Trust. Twelve unique parish gardens can be viewed including the school and allotments. Nine gardens are located in the village, with three about a mile away. Gardens are open between 2pm and 5.30pm. Tickets are available in advance by phoning 01363 83068 or 01363 83763 for £3.50, and from any of the gardens on the day or the Orchard Centre in the Village Park for £4. Tickets admitting one adult include a map and are valid for both days. Accompanied children are free. Some gardens have disabled access and helping dogs are allowed.

Grounds Open Afternoon

1940s Charity Tea Dance
Saturday, 4pm, Exminster Village Hall
A 1940s themed tea dance is taking place at Exminster Village Hall on Saturday between 4pm and 7pm.  Tickets are £10 per adult and £8 for children and OAPs. The price includes afternoon tea and ballroom dancing instructions! There is also a vintage dress code so ladies, it's a great excuse to dig out your pretty floral dresses and gentlemen your hand painted ties and fedora hats! All proceeds go to CR2EE, a local charity (www.cr2ee.org.uk) raising money to help poverty stricken children in Moldova.

ART EXTRA

ART EXTRA is a charity event aiming to raise over £10,000 in support of local charity Hospiscare. The event kicks off on Saturday evening with a glittering champagne cocktail party. The list of established artists to name a few include; Tania Kovats, Neil Cox, Stephen Brown, Michael Buckland, Ray Balkwill and Gina Parr. Exeter Record Fair

Lots of good quality vinyl records, CDs and much more to choose from, this fair should be another good event for everyone. Doors open at 9.30am, entry is £1, and for the early birds, entry can be from 8am for a £3 fee. The fair finishes at around about 4pm. EXHIBITIONS

Recycling with Attitude Exhibition
Killerton House, Broadclyst
This is an inspiring and imaginative exhibition showing the how up-cycling fabrics can create new garments. All items for sale and created by textile artists Maggie Hills, Ruby Lever and Theresa Rodrigez. The exhibition runs until 6 July. Normal admission applies.

Summer Exhibition
gloss-Art Exeter, 1 Barnfield Crescent, Exeter
This summer gloss-Art  are celebrating the artistic talent that the South West has to offer. John Hurford, Yvonne Coomber and Anthony Amos will each have a room dedicated to their powerful pieces and unique styles. Gallery 2 will showcase work from our core stable of artists, showing a variety of work ranging from landscapes and abstracts to creative prints. The exhibition runs until 24 August and the gallery is open 9.30am-5pm.

Exmouth Art Group
A la Ronde, Exmouth
Exmouth Art Group’s annual exhibition can be seen, free of charge, in the stable and award winning tearooms from 10.30am to 5.00pm each day.  The exhibition offers the opportunity for visitors to A la Ronde to view a diverse collection of paintings in a range of media and styles – and there is also the opportunity to purchase a piece at an enviable price. Work is on show until 2 July.

Opening Doors - Exhibition of Sculpture
Buckfast Abbey
A variety of work will be on show at Buckfast Abbey until 31 October during an exciting sculpture exhibition ' Open Doors'. The exhibition, organised by Dartmouth Contemporary Arts, will feature work created by the South West Sculptors Association. Visitors will be treated to a variety of work ranging from the contemporary abstract to the more familiar representational. Most sculptures can be seen in the ‘Physic’ and ‘Sensory’ gardens and artist details are available from the Abbey.
