Sidmouth Summer Play Festival
Friday, 8pm, Manor Pavilion, Sidmouth
Examining the relationship between Queen Elizabeth II and Margaret Thatcher this funny and insightful comedy received a run in London's West End in 2014. Both main characters are portrayed by older and younger versions of themselves in what critics have hailed as a fresh, exciting and intelligent piece of theatre. http://www.manorpavilion.com

Crazy4Soul 2018
Saturday, Exeter Corn Exchange
After the resounding success of last years Exeter Alldayer Wayne Sibthorpe’s ‘CRAZY 4 SOUL’brings you another adrenaline packed day of the very best in Northern Soul & Motown music. The music will be played by some of the best DJs in the South West and UK including the legendary Chris King, Pep and Ginger Taylor of Wigan Casino and Kings Hall fame. Northern Soul on the Locks
Sunday, Double Locks Pub, Canal Banks, Exeter
Exeter Soul Festival Alldayer, noon-9pm. This is an after party follow-on for the alldayer on Saturday at Exeter Corn Exchange.  Tickets £12.50 on the door. Enchanted Princess Party

An interactive live show with your favourite characters – who will you meet this time? Meet the magical princesses and have your photo taken with your favourite characters! Exmouth Kite Festival
Saturday & Sunday, Imperial Road, Exmouth
A two day Kite festival where world class kite flyers come to show off their spectacular flying displays, kite fighting battles, and synchronised routines. Children are also welcome to bring along their own kites to fly along with the experts. PBFA Exeter Book Fair

The Exeter Book Fair is now the only dedicated book fair in Devon. This is one of three events run by the PBFA at Matthews Hall offering a wide selection of antiquarian, rare and second-hand books and ephemera. Featuring 15 independent booksellers, there will be something to appeal to all tastes and interests! 10.30am-4pm. Everyone welcome. Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service HQ Open day
