Jeremy Hardy

Jeremy Hardy is in his fourth decade as a stand-up this year. That’s a more dramatic way of saying he started 33 years ago and, without a lottery win, probably has at least another 33 years to go. In 2014, the tenth series of Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation was broadcast on Radio 4. He is also well known for his appearances on The News Quiz and I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue. Exeter Record Fair

A host of your favourite regular vinyl and CD dealers from the South West along with returning dealers. Doors open at 9.30am, entry is £1. For the early birds entry can be from 8am with a £3 fee. The fair finishes at around 3.30pm. Click here for more details. 

Tedburn Fair

A day not to be missed with live entertainment on the Village Green featuring a selection of live bands and music from the Tedburn Community Choir. Heritage Open Day

Join Devon Wildlife Trust for a fun filled day on Heritage Open Day weekend! The historic water mill will come to life as volunteer millers show the traditional methods for grinding grain. The wildlife garden will also be open for tours, bug hunting and wildlife crafts. 10.30am-3pm. Free.

The Summer Show
Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Riverside Mill, Bovey Tracey TQ13 9AF
This year marks the 62nd annual Summer exhibition of selected pieces by Devon Guild Members. The show features a diverse range of contemporary craft from across the South West. You can also gain an insight into what makers do all day with diary snapshots of Members' everyday lives displayed alongside the exhibits. Sea Life: Glimpses of the Wonderful
RAMM, Queen Street Exeter
Catch a glimpse of the magic and mystery of the world under the sea. Dive in, and delight in the wonders of aquatic life. Through a playful mix of historic objects, film, illustrations, live creatures and contemporary craft, the exhibition combines science and art to inspire a greater appreciation of Devon’s glorious coastline for visitors of all ages. The exhibition runs until 17 September, open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm.

Exeter’s Fine Art Collection: Modern
RAMM, Queen Street, Exeter
The exhibition includes two works by the British Pop Art movement artist Brian Rice, gifted through the Art Fund and on display for the first time.This diverse selection features Barbara Hepworth’s remarkable figurative drawing Preparation, Leighton Hall Woolatt’s Post Eleven Speaking and Patrick Heron’s Two Vermilions, Green and Purple in Red.
