FACT is a new Exeter-based reading group that has been founded by Dave Wilson. The acronym stands for 'For Analysis, Clarity and Truth' as the group focuses on dissecting and discussing nonfiction texts together.

FACT meets monthly to discuss contemporary literature on various topics including: politics, social theory, climate change, economics, and other nonfiction. The purpose of this group is to promote fact-based information relating to current affairs in an informal setting, to understand it together and to enjoy it. We meet once a month in The Bike Shed Theatre bar to discuss what the group is reading, and members are welcome to bring along anything they are reading or just come to join the conversation. 'Focus FACT' meetings are based around book discussions and 'Fun FACT' meetings are based around discussing the actual group and getting to know one another.

Why this group? "I have a list of books that I have personally found useful, and am happy to add recommendations to the list - check the Files section of the Facebook page. I look forward to receiving any recommendations from group members, and I hope to see you at our meetings!" - Dave
