National Trust Christmas craft and food fairs around Devon

Festive crafts, gifts and food will be the flavour of the season at some National Trust properties in Devon. This November and December there is a programme of festive craft and food fairs to help prepare for the season. The historical houses will be the backdrop for a series of events that will showcase some of the best local food, drink, arts and crafts.


Lydford Gorge winter fair, crafts and gifts
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 December, 11am-3pm
The annual winter fair at scenic Lydford Gorge is a great chance to grab some gift ideas and decorations for Christmas, with stalls to tempt you selling honey, textiles, woollens, glassware and jewellery. Free entry.

Castle Drogo winter fair, crafts and gifts
Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 December, 10am-4pm
Beat the Christmas rush and enjoy a festive shopping experience on Dartmoor at Castle Drogo. A variety of local specialist crafts and unique gifts will be on sale in marquees surrounding the visitor centre. Admission is free.

All visits to the National Trust Christmas craft fairs contribute to the income and the care of these historically significant sites, as well s the ongoing management of the surrounding countryside and access.
