Spend the money on whatever you want.  Just keep within the law.

The Money returns to Exeter for one night only.

The event, created by Kaleider, launched last November at Exeter’s Guildhall and its unique premise caused quite a stir.  The audience, or players, can dictate much of the action meaning the outcome can be completely different each night.

To participate, players either become a Benefactor donating at least £10, or a Silent Witness watching as a group of Benefactors decide how to spend their collective money. Silent Witnesses can buy their way in if they wish to have their voice heard. There are two hours in which the group has to unanimously decide what to spend the money on and if they can’t agree, the right to spend it rolls over.

"I hope that it’s playful, it’s intellectually stimulating and also that people might get to do some really cool things with the money as a group coming together for the first time," said Seth Honnor, who conceived the idea for Kaleider.

Taking place in Exeter’s Guildhall where the council have made decisions on behalf of society since the eleventh century, The Money playfully poses questions about value, priorities and collective decision making.

Episode 5 is on Thursday 20 February, 7pm–9.30pm, at Exeter Guildhall, High Street, Exeter.
