On Friday 3rd November the UK’s biggest club brand came to Exeter when Sandy Park hosted its first Ministry of Sound club night with over 900 revellers in attendance.

Ministry of Sound brought two of their house DJs, Matt May and Andy Purnell, and their state-of-the-art sound and light systems for a ‘Club Classics’ night with the biggest dancefloor fillers – from 70s disco to 90s dance through to today’s chart hits.

The event was one of the biggest ever held at Sandy Park, with the venue’s Exeter Suite transformed into a nightclub for the night with a separate VIP area in the County Suite - with local DJ Hatchett spinning the decks and the room transformed with the help of The Prop Factory.

Head of Sales and Marketing at Sandy Park, Lisa Duncan, said: “We are delighted with the overwhelmingly positive response we have had for our first Ministry of Sound event.

“We saw there was a gap in Exeter’s nightlife for a big club night, so we felt this would be a great addition to both our, and the City’s, event offering.  Ministry of Sound are world-renowned for their club nights and they put on a great show, keeping the dancefloor full all night. Their DJs Matt and Andy were very complimentary about the Exeter crowd who were one of the best they have seen across the UK and beyond.

“We are hoping to announce a similar event for next year soon, so keep an eye on Sandy Park’s news channels!”
