An evening of musical innovation is in store on Friday 20th of November, when 3 of the hottest tal-ents on the folk and acoustic scene play at the Cygnet Theatre in Exeter.

Fabian Holland is a singer-songwriter-guitarist “with tremendous command of fingers and fretboard with a natural vocal technique informed by long-time exposure to, and serious consideration of, the blues masters” - fRoots magazine. Less than 18 months after releasing his self-titled debut, Fabian’s second album garnered rave reviews and 4-stars from the Daily Telegraph.

Jon and Alfie are virtuosi musicians Jon Dyer and Alfie Gidley on flute and guitar, showcasing the best of the instrumental tradition from England and across the world. Bright Young Folk’s Steve Witkowski said “besides the folk tradition, the listener can also detect influences from jazz and world music which adds a touch of spice.”

Their latest release, “Level Pegging” has received great reviews: “The final track of Level Pegging ends on a questioning note, hinting perhaps at more to come. It is to be hoped so. Quality will out.”

The concert is the latest in the very successful “double-bill” promotional partnership between Wren Music and the Cygnet Theatre. Previous highlights have included Simon Mayor and Hilary James, Mairi Campbell and Tom McConville to name but a few!

Tickets cost £12 and are available from the Cygnet Theatre box office on 01392 277189 and from www.wegottickets.com/cygnettheatre. For more information, contact Wren Music on 01837 53754 or email info@wrenmusic.co.uk.
