Celebrate Halloween this October half-term at Exeter’s spooky Underground Passages.

Between 24 October – 1 November there will be special ‘Witches & Wizards Tours’ where children are invited to explore under the city’s streets on special guided tours and discover ingredients for magic spells. Using the ingredients found, the young adventurers are challenged to concoct their own magic spell and enter it into a competition with the opportunity to win one of many fantastic prizes!

On Saturday 31 October the tour guides will also be running special ‘Gory Story Tours’ highlighting some of the more unsavoury tales from Exeter’s chilling past. Children can have a go at writing their own Gory Story and again have the chance to win a fantastic prize.

This year adults and children aged 14 years and over will also have the opportunity to experience two evenings of ‘Extreme Gory Stories’. Not for the faint hearted these evening events take place on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October and are guaranteed to make even the most hardened thrill seeker shiver! Tour times 7pm, 7.30pm, 8pm, 8.30pm and 9pm.

Pre-booking is essential for all events.

A visit to Exeter’s Underground Passages includes an opportunity to experience an exhibition packed full of interactive exhibits, archaeological finds and a full scale model of a section of the Passages. Access for children under 5 years, wheelchairs and pushchairs is to the exhibition only.

Exeter’s Underground Passages are located in the city centre on Paris Street between the Next and Zara stores. Honiton Road and Sowton Park & Ride stops are located opposite the entrance. Alternatively use city centre car parking.
