On Saturday 19th May Millbrook Village, the luxury retirement village in Exeter, will be showing the Royal Wedding LIVE on a big screen set up outdoors in the village’s Italianate garden. The screening will be accompanied by a quintessentially British garden party with the all-important flags and bunting, a Royal Wedding Bake Off competition judged by Bake Off contestant Glenn Cosby, a bespoke Royal Wedding ice cream and much much more!

Entrance to the screening will be totally free of charge but numbers are limited so interested guests are encouraged to register their interest.

Situated in an idyllic position on the upper banks of the River Exe and close to Exeter city centre, Renaissance Villages is giving residents and the local community the chance to celebrate the national event by hosting a live screening of the wedding within the beautiful grounds of Millbrook Village.

Visitors will be invited to enjoy a traditional English afternoon tea, with a selection of finger sandwiches, cakes and tea and coffee served throughout the afternoon. Pimms cocktails will also be on offer, as well as a selection of soft drinks.

Inspired Villages and The Ice Cream Farm have developed a bespoke ice cream to mark this special occasion which will also be served to all.

Visitors are invited to take part in the Royal Wedding Bake Off competition by bringing their very own Royal Wedding inspired cake creation on the day. All entries will then be judged by celebrity judge Glenn Cosby. Glenn made it to the quarter final of the fourth series of the country’s best loved baking show in 2013, and has since written a book, Tasty Travels, and has appeared on the BBC’s Good Food Show, the Cake and Bake Show, the Big Cake Show and at the Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink and the Devon County Show.

This event is being held at Millbrook Village on 19th May from 11am and is open to people of all ages. Places are complimentary, but guests are encouraged to reserve their place by calling 01392 275 335.
