For a long time now Devon has produced a number of stars, including Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Joss Stone. Another success has been added to the list with the news that band WME have secured a much sought after publishing deal with Sony BMG Chrysalis.

WME, which stands for We Make Everything, are a unique musical collaboration that produces all of their material from scratch. The band focuses on creating demo references for major artist placements. We Make Everything consists of Exeter’s own Stephen Chase and Luton-based Guy Furious and Tom Smith. As well as their amazing publishing deal, the band have also released an EP to showcase their own talents, entitled ‘Good Company’.

The EP was inspired by the band's experiences of America, where they travelled back and forth before securing their publishing deal. Exeter-born band member Stephen Chase says: ''After being surrounded by such creative minds in America it exposed us to such a diverse range of production and writing. Being immersed in an environment of people at the top of their game really inspired us to make a great EP... it displays attributes of both British and American influence, a fusion we hope brings something fresh to the table''.

All three band members have seen success individually, with Guy Furious producing official remixes for Nicole Scherzinger and Far East Movement. Whilst you may have seen Stephen Chase about in Exeter city centre, this young artist worked hard to get to the top and would perform at any venue and even busk to get his talents heard. The bands enthusiasm for their music and their career has clearly paid off, as they were offered not one, but two publishing deals, before finally signing with Sony BMG Chrysalis this year. The band were so sought after that they were offered their deal before even having met Sony BMG Executive VP Zach Katz. The amazing offer for their publishing deal was made by telephone. The collective aim is to achieve global recognition for their work and place their songs with major artists.
