Following the success of its explosive Science Cabaret production “Dark Matters”, the science focused theatre company Foot-candle Productions - supported by Daisi[1] and Queen Elizabeth’s (QE) Academy - is putting the spotlight on one of science’s unsung feminine heroes, the ground breaking Austrian atomic Physicist Lise Meitner, whose work changed the world.

The new work, a day long experience to be run in schools, has been created to encourage more young women across the UK to consider Physics A-level.

Exeter School welcomed former pupil and BBC sports commentator and broadcaster Sara Orchard to Speech Day on 22 September where she entertained all present with tales of her 13 years working on the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, the Rugby World Cup and Wimbledon.

Exeter Youth Flutes is an exciting new ensemble for flautists aged 8 - 18. The musical director and founder of Exeter Youth Flutes is Ruth Molins. Ruth has over ten years' experience of teaching the flute and coaching ensembles in the South West. The mission of EYF is to be a welcoming flute ensemble for young flute players in Exeter and the locality, providing a quality, musical experience with regular rehearsals and performance opportunities.
