Exeter College’s vocational students joined together to celebrate their achievements in a garden party held at the college’s Hele Road campus.

Exeter School, the city's largest independent school, is celebrating another excellent set of GCSE results. Almost three-quarters of all grades - 73.65% - were grades 9-7, compared to the national average of 20.6%. Of the 118 pupils in Year 11, 67 achieved 8 or more 9-7 grades with 36 pupils scoring ten or more 9-7 grades. Maynard School Sixth Former, Jessica Carr, not only achieved four straight A*s in her Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry A-levels and a further A* for her Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) but she also scored a flawless 100% in the incredibly testing Edexcel Maths paper 2, putting her as one of the country’s top A-level mathematicians. From a possible 300 points for the two individual papers combined, she dropped just 11 marks to score a remarkable 289.

Exeter School pupils, parents, staff and governors are pleased to announce an excellent set of A Level results, with a 100% pass rate. Thirty-four pupils scored three or more A* or A grades, with almost a quarter - 20% - of all results at A*. 53% of all grades were A* or A, with four out of every five grades - 81% - coming in at A*, A or B.
