QE students achieved above National average for top grades.

Rupert Poole Principal at the Queen Elizabeth’s School in Crediton, said “We are very pleased with the results this year. We have students following the full range of subjects at A level here at QE and 72% of our students achieved A* - C grades and 50% at A* - B. We are delighted that 27% of students received the very top grades at A* - A, an incredible achievement and testament to their hard work and commitment. We have had a number of notable subject successes, from the many subjects I do want to highlight the excellent results in the Extended Project Qualification. This is an area of expertise within QE and it has proved to be a real determining factor for students’ university applications. It also embodies our vision of educating to empower our students”.

“Results day is always the highlight of the year, the culmination of so much hard work. Today belongs to the students and the long wait is over! We are celebrating and recognising many notable achievements. Now it is time for them to take their next steps, be that in higher education, apprenticeships or employment. At QE we put in place a lot of support to ensure that transition into adulthood is as stress free as possible. I wish all the students the very best for the future – it has been a real pleasure working with you all.”

“I would also like to thank all the staff who have worked hard supporting the students. QE Sixth Form is a very close-knit community and the strong relationships and mutual respect between staff and students - an essential ingredient in our success - was very much in evidence at QE today.”

Head of Sixth Form - Lucy Jones said:

“I have really enjoyed working with all these fantastic students and I am very pleased with the results our students have achieved this year. Results day is always very emotional and seeing our students receive their results is a real privilege - the culmination of all their hard work and dedication. They deserve every success in the future and I am delighted for them.”

QE Sixth Form is the place to be and applications are welcome for our September 2019 intake, enrolment day is Tuesday 3rd September between 1.15pm and 3.15pm at the Western Road campus.
