Devon charities announced as partners for huge weekend of live music

Four Devon-based charities have been selected to be official partners for the county’s biggest music event this summer.

TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham runs for four nights from Thursday June 25 to Sunday June 28, featuring headline shows from vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims, seven-time GRAMMY winner Alanis Morissette and global superstar Lewis Capaldi.

Each night will see a local charity given the opportunity to have a team of fundraisers on site and for 2026 Live At Powderham will support Devon-based charities who make a big impact in the communities they serve....

Local charity Hospiscare are looking for last minute runners to fill the remaining spaces for Exeter’s Rock Solid Race on Saturday 15 March at Escot Park.

Local Wealth Management Company Brewin Dolphin Exeter launched Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) as its new charity of the year with the creation of a ‘Pop up Shop’ at their offices on Pynes Hill. Brewin Dolphin organised a ‘Drop & Shop’ to raise funds and awareness for the charity by inviting neighbouring business colleagues to help fundraise.

Hospiscare attempt at skydive record

Local charity Hospiscare is looking for individuals to jump from 15,000 feet after teaming up with Skydive UK and other charities to try to beat the world record of tandem skydive jumps achieved in 24 hours. The current record is held in Germany and is set at 251 people. Skydive UK, based at Dunkeswell Airfield near Honiton, is hoping to smash this record with 260 jumps on Saturday June 21, 2014. Find your soul mate this Valentine’s Day at Exeter Axhayes!!! We have lots of adorable cats and kittens looking for love! Come along to meet them at our Valentine’s Coffee morning. Tuesday 18 February will be a big day for CEDA, Exeter's local charity providing services for disabled people.

From 11am until 2pm the organisation will be showing off the achievements of its users from the past year along with giving all visitors to their BIG Challenge event the chance to try something different. Exeter Axhayes Cats Protection Adoption Centre are looking for volunteers to help out at fundraising/publicity events throughout the year. The Friends of Axhayes Group are a small group of volunteers who meet regularly to arrange fundraising events but they desperately need people to help out at these events.

You do not need to commit to any regular hours and you can do as little or as much as you like.

Generous Ashfords' people have beaten their charity fund raising target for their chosen charity, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust.

Staff and partners of the firm pulled out all the stops with fundraising and awareness raising event for Jo's Trust, the only UK charity dedicated to women and their families affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities.

The South West based firm set itself a £10,000 target and topped this by more than 50% raising more than £16,000 in the last year, following a firm wide ballot to select a charity of the year.
