The new Lord Mayor of Exeter Percy Prowse, who was elected at last night’sAnnual General Meeting, explained why he chose to support ELF as the mayor’s charity. Lapford & District Horticultural Society open their gardens on the 28 and 29 of June in aid of Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

Twelve unique parish gardens can be viewed including the school and allotments. Nine gardens are located in the village, with three about a mile away.

Friends and family of Sharon Bridgman raised more than £11,500 in her memory after she was struck and killed in by a car in Bolivia in April.
