Devon charities announced as partners for huge weekend of live music

Four Devon-based charities have been selected to be official partners for the county’s biggest music event this summer.

TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham runs for four nights from Thursday June 25 to Sunday June 28, featuring headline shows from vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims, seven-time GRAMMY winner Alanis Morissette and global superstar Lewis Capaldi.

Each night will see a local charity given the opportunity to have a team of fundraisers on site and for 2026 Live At Powderham will support Devon-based charities who make a big impact in the communities they serve....

Glazebrook House Hotel raises £2,000 Devon Air Ambulance

South Devon’s Glazebrook House Hotel’s utterly outstanding Alice in Wonderland charity event earlier this month was a resounding success. The creative and imaginative team at the Glazebrook raised £2,057 for their chosen charity, the inspirational Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

Great West Run brings together charities, businesses and runners

On Sunday 18th October, hundreds of runners and spectators will flood to Exeter city centre to support the 31st annual Great West Run.

With local businesses and residents coming together to support those taking on the challenge, many local charities are benefiting from participants raising money for good causes. YMCA Exeter is one of those charities.

Three local men are cycling the length of the country to raise funds for Exeter-based charity Rainbow Living.

Duncan, Will and Jools are cycling from John O’Groats to Land’s End to help raise money for a third Rainbow House which will provide a home for a group of young disabled adults in the local area. The trio are preparing in a variety of ways and have just completed the Nello, a 100 mile cycle ride!

Charity music festival returns to Exeter

Exeter’s Oxjam Takeover campaign now in its ninth year, is part of a fervent network of music lovers across the UK, all helping to combat global inequality and poverty within local perimeters.

Award-winning FORCE charity shop set for temporary closure

The FORCE Cancer Charity Shop in Heavitree’s Fore Street has again been named the best in the country.

It’s won the award as the most profitable in its category from the Charity Retail Association.

The news comes as FORCE announces that the shop is set to close at the end of August for approximately 10 weeks.

An Exeter opticians is hosting a week-long fundraising event to raise vital funds for the Exeter Multiple Sclerosis Society. From Monday 27 July staff at Specsavers, located at 247 High Street, will be wearing t-shirts and distributing leaflets to raise awareness of the condition. Hundreds of ladies are preparing to give cancer ‘double trouble’ at Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life by taking part in the 10k event at Westpoint Exeter this month.

Race for Life 10k will take place on Sunday, 26 July and over 600 determined ladies have already signed up to show the disease that hell hath no fury like a woman in pink.
