Exeter funeral home makes eggs-tra special donation

A funeral home in Exeter has helped bring Easter joy to the local community and children in need after donating 205 chocolate eggs and ‘bags of hope’.

The treats were gathered through a collection donation drive organised by the team at Co-op Funeralcare Exeter on Cowick Street, in St Thomas Shopping Centre, with some of the Easter eggs donated to children living in temporary accommodation in the city.

‘The Tribe’ at B Corp four-day week at Exeter environmental consultancy Tyler Grange has recently swapped development sites for the boxing ring – taking part in a team building session at the award-winning sport for development charity Empire Fighting Chance .

Alex tackles “crazy” challenge for charity

A fitness fanatic from Exeter is planning to run 100 miles in 24 hours to raise money for two local causes.

Alex Sparkes, 30, will start on Exeter Quay at 12 noon on Saturday December 14 and run four-mile loops throughout the night and the following day.

For fish and chip shop owner Mark Dimelow, the historic Exeter Quayside means more than to most people.
