Every Spring and Autumn, Freemasons from all parts of Devon meet to give support totalling in excess of £50,000 to local charities & organisations throughout the county who are in need of assistance. MACS was one of the groups who were nominated by St Michael’s Lodge. MACS (Microphthalmia, Anophthalmia and Coloboma Support) supports children born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes, and their families. An Ottery café has pledged to fundraise for local charity ELF (Exeter Leukaemia Fund), which provides vital support to patients and families living with leukaemia.

Tickety-Boo will be raising funds for ELF over the next 12 months using a variety of initiatives that customers young and old can get involved with.

Plastic Free Exeter held their inaugural plastic unwrap on Saturday 2 June.

Part of the Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free Communities movement, the unwrap was the third event run by Exeter’s group since they launched in January 2018.

South West Law firm, WBW Solicitors, have joined forces with the nation’s heart charity to beat heartbreak forever. The 12 month partnership will see staff at WBW Solicitors raising enough money to fund a moth’s research to grow new blood vessels – a vital part of any future therapy to repair damaged hearts, helping find new ways to operate, diagnose and treat heart disease, which costs the charity £5,000.
