Exonia Bowling Club in Exeter has donated more than £1,000 to support local people with multiple sclerosis.

Club president Kate Caldwell chose the community rehabilitation team at Mardon Neurological Centre as her charity of the year – and members helped to raise £1,105.

Kate has been receiving therapy from the team, which is part of the Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust.

She praised the individualised service she had received at the centre and asked for the donation to be used to provide greater support to people with MS.

Kate presented a cheque to Exeter therapy manager Sue Campling and specialist physiotherapist Claire Thomas at Exonia’s final outdoor match of the season.

Sue said: “I would like to thank Kate and the members of Exonia for their very kind donation.”
