ThebestofExeter which specialises in promoting Exeter’s local businesses via its website, digital marketing and business network events has announced that its charity of the year for 2014 will be Dream-A-Way, the Exeter based charity which provides holidays and days out for people with disabilities and their families.

Dream-A-Way has been associated with thebestofExeter for many years and its volunteers enjoy belonging to this excellent organisation which does so much to support local charities as well as businesses.

To be chosen as their Charity of the Year for 2014 really is the icing on the cake for the charity as it celebrates its 21st year.

Chairman Jeff Merrett said: “I am grateful to Dave Barr for choosing to give even more support to Dream-A-Way by selecting us as the bestofExeter’s Charity of the Year. It is a real honour to be supported by such a well respected and growing business and we look forward to working alongside them for 2014 and beyond”.

Dave Barr thebestofExeter’s managing director said “I have known Jeff and his team for quite a few years and have enormous respect for the work they do, especially as they are all unpaid volunteers. Their involvement with thebestofExeter has shown us that they really are one of Exeter’s best loved charities, so we are delighted to be able to support them for 2014 and look forward to working closely with them on a number of projects and events.

Our charity for 2013 was Exeter YMCA and it has been a pleasure to work with Peter and his team, I hope they have enjoyed their year with us and wish them continued success in the future”.
