Local brain injury charity Headway Devon are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the highly prestigious We invest in people, gold accreditation by Investors in People.

Headway Devon has always been an organisation that takes pride in its people, having first registered with Investors in People in 2005. As part of this most recent accreditation Headway Devon was rigorously assessed on a wide range of aspects including leadership, learning and communication.

As part of the assessment process staff were interviewed and asked to complete an anonymous online survey. The resulting report found that 100% of team members understand the vision and objectives of Headway Devon, 100% think their work is interesting and 100% say Headway Devon has a positive impact on society.

Commenting on the award, Headway Devon Chief Executive Officer Ruth Wells, said: “We are delighted to be recognised as Gold Standard by Investors in People. Since joining the charity in 2018 I have been deeply impressed by the dedication of the people here – by the efforts that people go to every day to ensure that we provide the best possible support to the people who need us. Our people are our greatest asset, and we as an organisation have been working hard to reward this by providing challenging and fulfilling careers in a happy and supportive workplace. It is fantastic to see this recognised by Investors in People and we look forward to continuing to build on this good work.”

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Headway Devon. Gold accreditation on We invest in people is a fantastic effort for any organisation, and places Headway Devon in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”
