A disabled veteran from Exeter will be taking on the challenge of swimming 500 lengths to raise money for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

Tony Cox served in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps for 5 years, but after leaving the service he suffered from complex health and mobility issues that took their toll on both his work and personal life.

On Friday 26th July, Tony will be attempting to complete a swim of 500 lengths, a total distance of 7.5 kilometres, for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.  Due to Tony’s health and mobility issues, he estimates that this challenge could take him up to 7 hours.

Tony has a fundraising target of £250 for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. If you would like to support Tony, please follow justgiving.com/fundraising/t-cox-ssafaswim
