Local lawyers have lent their support to the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning by holding events to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday, 26 September.

A number of staff from Stephens Scown LLP in Exeter have been busy baking cakes and raising money through other initiatives including a dress down day. Five hundred and thirty five pounds has been raised from events in its offices in Exeter, Truro and St Austell.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event, with thousands of people across the UK taking part. Last year £20 million was raised and over 150,000 people took part.

Robert Camp, Stephens Scown’s managing partner said: “Our staff have really embraced this event. Almost all of us have been touched by cancer in some way and many of us have seen first hand the vital work Macmillan does. It is great to be part of this massive event and do our bit to raise funds for such an important charity.”

Stephens Scown has over 40 partners and 250 staff across its offices in Exeter, Truro and St Austell. For more information visit www.stephens-scown.co.uk
