Devon Stonemason Matthew Hurley has just launched a new local business called Hurley Marble, selling luxury handmade pietra dura marble tabletops, marble and stone fireplaces and bronze sculptures for high-end interiors. Hurley Marble’s objective is to combine one-off designs with exceptional craftsmanship using only the finest rare materials. A treasure hunt around Southernhay, organised by the Exeter office of property consultancy JLL, has raised £380 for Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) - a local charity that supports people affected by leukaemia, lymphoma and other blood conditions.

Eight teams from businesses across Exeter took part in JLL’s first Southernhay Treasure Hunt, each battling it out to be the first team back to base having successfully solved all the clues. The winning team was from financial company Investec Wealth & Investment.
