South West Communications Group has been selected as an approved supplier for the Government-funded SuperConnected Cities scheme.

Businesses in Exeter can now get a connection voucher of up to £3,000 for faster, better Internet connectivity to help them grow and develop.

SMEs lacking basic digital skills

According to the latest UK Business Digital Index, over a million (23%) small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) still lack basic digital skills. The Index from Lloyds Bank, in association with Accenture and digital skills charity Go ON UK, measures and tracks the level of digital ability among SMEs and charities.

Glenn Cosby, a contestant in the 2013 series of BBC TV’s Great British Bake Off, is the guest speaker at the first of Exeter Racecourse’s series of ‘Business Breakfast’ networking events, which takes place on Friday, April 17.

Cosby was head of the sixth form at Teignmouth Community School at the time of his Great British Bake Off success.
