Exeter, July 2025 – Leading South West law firm Porter Dodson has reported record-breaking results, achieving £20.2 million in revenue, marking a 15.5% increase on the previous year. This growth has driven a 25.4% rise in net profit, while the firm retained its prestigious Gold Investors in People accreditation for a third consecutive time.

With offices in Exeter, Sherborne, Poundbury, Bridport, Wellington, Taunton, and Yeovil, the firm’s continued expansion has been bolstered by the opening of a new Southernhay office in Exeter, contributing to a rise in headcount and enhanced client service delivery.

Porter Dodson’s success reflects the strength of its client relationships, investment in high-calibre legal talent, and its long-term commitment to local communities. The firm now boasts over 200 staff members, many ranked by Legal 500and Chambers & Partners.

Its most recent achievements exceed the targets set out in its 2024 five-year business strategy. Notably, growth across private client and corporate commercial practice areas has enabled the firm to surpass its 10% annual growth goal by more than 50%. In response, it is actively recruiting across several roles, including five partner positions.

The firm now aims to achieve B Corp accreditation—a globally recognised mark of social and environmental responsibility. This will reinforce Porter Dodson’s ethical approach to governance, sustainability, and customer care.

Managing Partner Kate James said:

“This performance reflects the dedication of our team and our belief in long-term relationships—with clients and communities. Innovation, collaboration, and care are at the heart of what we do.”

She added:

“We are building a future-focused firm, integrating fresh talent and experience to drive continued success across the South West.”
