Leading Devon accountancy practice, Thomas Westcott, has appointed a new Financial Planner to bolster its advisory team.

Paul Churchill joined the firm in August and is based in the Exeter office of Thomas Westcott Chartered Financial Planners (TWCFP).  TWCFP is the financial planning arm of Thomas Westcott Chartered Accountants which has 13 office across Devon.

Iain Andrews, Head of Financial Planning at TWCFP, says: “I am delighted that Paul has joined us. His extensive experience and approach will make him a valued addition to our team.”

“We are growing our capacity due to an increasing number of enquiries and a growing demand for professional financial advice.”

Paul has been working in the sector since 1990 and has been a Financial Planner for the past 12 years; he is a member of the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Insurance Institute and provides advice on wealth management, retirement planning and pension options.

He said: “I am delighted to join a practice which is innovative and puts its clients first.  People lead busy lives and need a financial planning service which is tailored to their needs”.

Born and bred in Devon, Paul grew up in Tiverton before starting his professional life in Exeter.  He then worked for a Somerset based Chartered Financial Planning firm before joining Thomas Westcott. Paul is a sports enthusiast and is married with two children and lives just outside Tiverton.

The appointment comes shortly after TWCFP has been reaccredited as an Investor in People. “The accolade reflects the dedication and hard work of the whole team and it is this which makes the practice an enjoyable and successful environment for us all to work in.” said Mr Andrews.
