Property design and management consultants, NPS South West Ltd., announces the appointment of Al Robinson as its new operations director. Part of the NPS Group, the South West Office, employs over 70 staff and offers a multi-discipline property consultancy service, tailored to meet the needs of both public and private sector clients. Services include design, engineering, surveying and estate and property management.
With a military career spanning two decades, Al joined the Army in 1998 having completed his officer training at Sandhurst and was awarded a Commission with the Corps of Royal Engineers. Over the course of his career he has served around the globe, including; Belize, Northern Ireland, Sierra Leone, Norway, Iraq and Afghanistan. Specialising in the delivery of austere infrastructure he has led a wide variety of construction projects, from jungle research stations to operational bases in conflict zones. An experienced project manager and construction consultant, with a BSc in surveying, he is currently working towards an MSc in risk and resilience. A keen outdoorsman and now a retired rugby player, he lives with his family in North Devon.
He said: “I am looking to bring a new dimension to the delivery of property service by NPS, and as a capable leader and established consultant, bringing with me a wealth of knowledge and experience from my military career. This I hope will give NPS an added competitive edge in what is a challenging commercial environment. I’m delighted to take up the appointment of Operations Director and look forward to expanding the business’ portfolio of work, to establish NPS as the property consultants of choice in the South West. NPS is recognised for its delivery of high quality solutions with strong social value, and I look forward to driving the business to another level during an exciting period of growth.”
