New-build house wiring specialists Clarkson Evans, who employ 66 people at their branches in Exeter and Plymouth are celebrating after scooping a major award at one of the electrical industry’s biggest events of the year.

Judges from the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA), singled out Clarkson Evans for the Large Contractor of the Year Award, largely in recognition of their successful in-house apprenticeship programme and commitment to delivering high quality customer service.

Managing Director, Nathan Evans said: “What a fantastic achievement! It just shows what a brilliant team of staff we have here and I’d like to thank every single one of them for doing their jobs really well, day in and day out.”

Clarkson Evans is the largest electrical contractor serving the new-build housing sector, having wired over 21,000 properties in the last year. Staff based at these branches contributed 1500 to this total, and with ambitious growth plans in the region, this number is set to increase.

“We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join us and start learning the trade through an apprenticeship or put their experience to good use by leading one of our electrical teams”, said Nathan. “Winning awards like the ECA Large Contractor of the Year is only possible if we employ the right people to help us grow and keep impressing our customers.”
