One of the region’s most successful property auction houses – Devon & Cornwall Auction House – has announced leading West Country estate agent, Wilkinson Grant & Co, will be joining its collective, meaning it will be able to offer owners of land, residential and commercial properties a guaranteed way to sell quickly.

Estate agents have been working with Auction House Devon & Cornwall for a number of years and Wilkinson Grant’s involvement signifies a desire by the auction house to rapidly expand its offering in Devon, with calls for other local agents wishing to also offer an auctions service to join the growing network.

Agency principal, Roger Wilkinson, says: “With traditional sales often taking longer than many sellers hope, selling by auction offers a real alternative to anyone who requires a quick sale, with the certainty that the property is sold at a set price, with no renegotiations and with the buyer having to commit ‘at the fall of the gavel’”.

“As well as offering lots via traditional public auctions, we are particularly excited about being able to offer an online auction facility, providing even greater flexibility and faster results as we will be able to market a property or piece of land by online auction within 48 hours,” adds Roger.

Auction House Devon & Cornwall has been supporting both private sellers and estate agencies wishing to sell property and land via auction since 2013. The company has achieved a sales success rate of over 90% on the lots offered in its collective public auctions over the past 18 months, with online auctions proving to be one of the fastest growing methods.

Adam Cook, Director of Auction House Devon & Cornwall, says: “Our new association with one of Devon’s leading independent agents will help us expand what we know is a very compelling offering for both sellers and buyers throughout the region. Our immediate focus is the Exeter, Teignbridge and the East Devon area, with entries being called for an auction taking place in Exeter on 14th September.”
