Burrington Estates New Homes Site Manager, Marinko Tomic, has won the prestigious National House Building Council (NHBC) Seal of Excellence Award within the Small House Builder Category, for his quality of work and attention to detail at the company’s Seaward Park, Clyst St George development - following his Pride in the Job award win earlier in the year.

The South West regional award was announced last Friday, with the Seal of Excellence award available for only 140 site managers across the UK. This puts Burrington Estates New Homes in the top 1% of all home builders in the country.

The National House Building Council recognises the industry’s best site managers across the UK and has been driving quality in house-building for 37 years.

Marinko has had an exceptional year, winning the Pride in the Job award earlier in the summer, which is one of the most highly regarded awards in the house-building industry. Winners are selected from over 16,000 site managers and are acknowledged for achieving the highest standards in house building. Following rigorous judging, the first round winners went on to compete for a Seal of Excellence Award.

The Clyst St George development offers a range of 25 two, three, four and five bedroom homes and is the first new build site in Devon for Burrington Estates New Homes. Work on the project began in August 2016 and is due for full completion this October. The £9million project is the first of five new build developments for Burrington Estates, with work already beginning on their sites in Topsham, Looseleigh Lane, Plymouth and Truro.

Marinko adds his latest award win to a grand total of six over his career - with two Seal of Excellence awards and four Pride in the Job awards under his belt.

“I am absolutely thrilled to have been awarded with this incredible accolade once again. The standard of build we achieve at Burrington Estates is down to the hard work and efforts of the entire team and this is a fantastic acknowledgement for us all,” says Marinko Tomic, Site Manager at Clyst St George.

Colin Palmer, Managing Director of Burrington Estates New Homes, commented; “We are so proud of Marinko for his commitment and exacting standards on our Clyst St George development. It is a great achievement for the whole team to win not one, but two awards this year, and it is really pleasing to receive recognition for our product quality.”
