Winners of the annual 373 Group Awards were announced at an evening event held at Escot House.

The finalists in the 10 categories were chosen from over 200 individual nominations.

The winners were: The Bear Trail, Best Rural; Tina Chauhan Challis of Samosa Lady, Best Microbusiness; Casual Media, Best Online Presence; Froginwell Vineyard, Best Venue; Midleydown Glamping, Best Start Up; One Life Education, Greatest Social Impact; Sue Cade, Best Professional Service; Womb to Grow, Best Retail.

Top 373 Group Person was Rachel Buckley from The Family Law Company and Best Company was Dartmoor Brewery.

373 Group co-founder, Chris Lorimer said: “These awards are our way of recognising the successes of individuals and businesses throughout the region, often those who are unsung heroes.

“We are delighted that so many diverse endeavours were nominated this year. The standard made the judging pretty difficult, so well done not only to the winners and finalists but also to everyone who was nominated.”

The event at Escot was sponsored by Griffin Chartered Accountants and included a presentation by Stephanie Romiszewski of The Sleepyhead Clinic. During the evening, £155 pounds was raised for suicide bereavement charity Pete’s Dragons.

The 373 Group was founded by Chris Lorimer and Tom Hope in 2014 with the aim of helping businesses in Devon and Somerset become more successful. Events held throughout the year include talks from local businesses and charities, and updates on business processes and tools.
