Red One Limited (Red One) is pleased to welcome Tony Rowe OBE to its Board of Directors.

Tony has been appointed to the position of Independent Chairman as of 21 October 2015 and will assist Red One and the board with strategic development, as the company looks to significantly grow its business in the years to come.

Tony is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the South West Communications Group. Over the last 30 years South West Communications Group has grown to become the largest independently owned communications company in the south and south west.

Tony has many other commercial interests in Exeter but notably he is also the Chief Executive and Chairman of Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club, and over the last 20 years has helped develop the organisation from a fourth division amateur rugby club to a successful professional team, playing in England’s Aviva Premiership.

Tony was awarded an OBE in 2012 and was made an honorary graduate of the University of Exeter in 2014.

In likening himself as Independent Chairman to the conductor of a large orchestra, Tony describes his role in the Red One business as being the individual that brings together people, skills and resources at the same time to create and deliver the perfect offer for customers.

Tony said: “I am very pleased to be appointed as the Independent Chairman for Red One and am very much looking forward to getting to know the business and its customers”.

Red One is the wholly owned commercial trading company of Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Authority, providing fire, rescue and safety training, consultancy and other professional services to industry and Fire & Rescue Services worldwide.
