Stagecoach SW announces Christmas services

Stagecoach South West has confirmed details of its Christmas bus services, with services operating throughout the holiday period excluding Christmas Day and New Year’s Day*.

Stagecoach has added extra journeys to its Red (Honiton Road) Park and Ride service on late night Thursdays. There will be additional buses from the city centre every half hour between 8.10pm and 10.10pm. 

In Plymouth, Stagecoach is running a Sunday Park & Ride service from George Junction and Milehouse between 26 November and 24 December. First buses in will be shortly after 9am with the last service leaving the city centre at 5.30pm.

There will be special Boxing Day timetables on selected local bus routes across the county. These are:

  • A - Exeter: Alphington – City Centre – Thornpark Rise
  • E - Exeter: Lancelot Road – Savoy Hill – City Centre – Exwick

F2 - Exeter: Pinhoe – Summerway – City Centre – Exwick

1 - Tavistock – Yelverton – Plymouth

2 - Plymouth: Saltash – St Budeaux – City Centre – Plymstock – Mount Batten

5 - Crediton – Newton St Cyres – Exeter

9 - Sidmouth – Newton Poppleford – Exeter

12 - Newton Abbot – Kingskerswell – Torquay – Paignton – Brixham

21 - Barnstaple – Bideford

57 - Exmouth – Lympstone – Topsham – Exeter

In Plymouth, Stagecoach will also be trialling a New Year’s Day service on routes 1 and 2.

For anyone planning to celebrate the New Year in Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton and Bristol the South West Falcon will be running through the night on New Year’s Eve and throughout New Year’s Day.

Customers are also reminded that local buses across the network will finish early on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, with the majority of services ending around 8.30pm on both days.

In celebration of the season, Stagecoach has teamed up with theatres across the region to offer customers the chance to win tickets to some of the best seasonal shows around:

• Four tickets to Dick Whittington at Northcott Theatre, Exeter (closing date 26 November)
• Family ticket to Beauty & the Beast at Queen’s Theatre, Barnstaple (closing date 26 November)
• Family ticket to Peter Pan at Theatre Royal, Plymouth (closing date 17 December)
• Four tickets to Aladdin at Hippodrome, Bristol (closing date 17 December)

Stagecoach is also giving customers the opportunity to win up to £50 worth of shopping vouchers.
